This is the acoustic electric version. It's also about ten years old. It has a Sitka spruce top and back, swamp ash sides, mahogany neck with Madagascar rosewood board and bridge. There is a B-Band pickup under the saddle. I used Sitka for the back after playing a softwood back guitar made by the legendary Richard Schneider. The bass response was wonderful! So since I knew the bass response on a thin bodied electric would be limited, I went with softwood for the back too. This guitar is surprisingly loud with a good strong bass. It was built on the same jigs as the electric so the neck is interchangable with its mate.
